Bugs Love London - Our Summer Picture Competition

Enter our summer competition and you could win £50!

Enter our Summer competition by sending us your pictures of London's biodiversity and you could win £50. There are nine prizes to be won; here's how:

One of the more surprisingly welcomed outcomes from the Covid pandemic is the return of wildlife and biodiversity in our cities as a result of less pollution and cleaner air. So, in celebration of Summer and London's green spaces, we're offering you the chance to win a £50 Amazon voucher in our 'Bugs Love London' competition.

Your picture can be a photograph, drawing, painting or any other form of creative illustration. It can be based on real bugs, animals or plant life, or - if you can't get out and about - it can be imaginative.

Any one can enter, and there are three age categories:

  • Up to 12 years old
  • 12 - 18 years old
  • Adults (over 18 years old)

In each category we will award a winner, and there will be two runner-up prizes of £25 Amazon vouchers. 

How to submit your pictures

You can submit as many pictures as you like.

Please send your picture(s), either as a PDF or JPEG file by email to: newsroom@inquilabha.org, or in original form by post to: Bugs Love London Competition, Inquilab Housing Association, Unit 3, 8 Kew Bridge, Brentford, TW8 0FJ.

If sending as a PDF or JPEG file sizes should not exceed 2MB.

We recommend that if sending by post, you make a copy of your picture(s) in the event that there are issues with the postal system.

Please make sure you submit your entry with your name, address, contact telephone number, and which age category you are.

Closing date for entries is 31 August 2021.

A collage of all winning pictures will be published on our website once winners are notified.

Terms and Conditions

  • Entries should be from Inquilab residents or family and friends of residents
  • Pictures must be originals, and not copies of work already published or altered from other images
  • Prizes are Amazon vouchers for which there are 3 x £50 vouchers for each winner within each age category, and two £25 vouchers for two runner ups in each age category.
  • There is no cash alternative.
  • Winners will be judged by a panel comprising three members of our independent Residents Customer Committee and two members of Inquilab Housing Association who are not directly connected to the competition. If you require further details about the panel you may request this in writing to Inquilab Housing Association at Unit 3, 8 Kew Bridge, Brentford, TW8 0FJ.
  • The judging panel's decision is final and there will be no correspondence entered into in this regard.
  • Closing date for entries is 31 August 2021
  • Winners will be notified by 1 October 2021
  • Winners have the right to decline any publicity in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and may withdraw consent to have their picture published at any time.
  • Inquilab Housing Association cannot be held responsible for any tax liability on the prize value awarded to the winners
